Description:
The world of immunizations in adolescents and adults has changed
dramatically over the past 10 years. And now that is even more true
with the COVID-19 pandemic of the last year. From newer vaccines to
changing guidelines, the landscape has changed for payers, providers
and patients. This two part webinar series will take a close look at
those changes on immunizations in adolescents and adults, and the
affect that the COVID-19 pandemic is having on these immunizations.
Attendees will be updated on the latest data and guidelines to help
increase rates, costs and patient outcomes.
Upon completion of this
activity, participants will be able to:
-
Examine recent guideline and
recommendation updates on adolescent and adult immunizations
-
Discuss the epidemiology and costs
associated with treatment of vaccine-preventable illness in
older adults
-
Assess the latest clinical
guidelines regarding the timing of HPV immunizations in
preteens, teens and young adults and how COVID-19 has affected
vaccinations
-
Examine current adult vaccination
recommendations for the influenza; pneumococcal; and herpes
zoster vaccines with COVID-19 in mind
