The Medical Directors Health Management Council promotes preventive management and assessments of health risk, develops tools for patients and physicians that will be used to monitor and manage chronic disease, and proactively promotes patients becoming active participants in their care using their physicians as consultants.

The purpose of the Medical Directors Oncology Council is to provide increased and ongoing information and resources to medical directors from purchasers, health plans and provider systems about cancer. The Institute is led by an Executive Leadership Council of medical directors from purchasers, health plans and provider systems.

Genomics Biotech and Emerging Medical Technologies

There is a need to advocate the value of genomics, biotechnology and emerging medical technologies as these new modalities enter and impact the healthcare system, thereby improving patient outcomes, improving quality, and bringing value to the marketplace. Members of the Council include medical directors from purchasers, health plans and provider systems.

Copyright permissions

To the best of our knowledge permissions for use of any copyright materials were received by each individual presenter. NAMCP/AAMCN does receive permissions to record, transcribe and publish materials (slides and audio) from each speaker. These permissions are on file at NAMCP headquarters.

Receiving credits

In order to receive continuing education credits for any of these enduring activities, participants must complete and score at least 70% on the post test for the activity. Certificates will be emailed to participants within one week of submitting the post test.

As accredited providers, NAMCP and AAMCN must ensure balance, independence, objectivity and scientific rigor in all activities. All faculty participating in these activities are expected to disclose to NAMCP/AAMCN any real or potential conflict of interest, and to the audience any significant relationship or affiliation. The intent of this disclosure is not to prevent a speaker with a significant relationship (financial or other) from making a presentation, but rather to provide listeners with information on which they can make their own judgments. It is the policy of NAMCP and AAMCN to resolve any potential conflict of interest with faculty.
