Summary
The guidelines for managing dyslipidemia
are continuing to evolve. Currently, very aggressive lowering of low
density lipoprotein cholesterol is recommended for many patients. To
achieve these aggressive goals, maximized statins or combination
lipid lowering therapy is necessary.
